Hot sauces

There are many different hot sauces from buffalo to Szechuan sauce that can be used for dips, toppings, and marinades to season or just for spreading on sandwiches. I have included my top five sauces in this post for you to try.

I have also included six of my favorite spicy recipes made with some of my homemade hot and spicy sauces. You can try these on hot sauce day or any day you feel like having some spicy food to eat.

Buffalo Sauce

My most popular hot sauce is this homemade buffalo sauce. This rich and spicy buttery sauce is delicious on chicken wings, meatballs, sandwiches, and just about anything else. And it is easy to make with just a few ingredients.

Bang Bang Sauce

Made with Thai sweet chili sauce and sriracha for heat and Greek yogurt to make it extra rich and creamy, this hot sauce is perfect for my Bang Bang shrimp. It is also great for chicken, sandwiches, salads, and just about anything else.

Whether I am making my homemade enchiladas or another Mexican dish, this spicy tomato sauce is easy to make in less than 15 minutes. It even tastes great on seafood, veggies, and pork dishes. And you can make it as hot as you want.

Easy Szechuan Sauce

With just some basic ingredients and a few minutes, this spicy Asian sauce is perfect for stir fries, noodles, and rice dishes. It is made from ginger, red pepper flakes, garlic, and red wine vinegar with soy sauce and brown sugar.

Chimichurri Sauce

This is one of my favorite spicy vegan sauces made with herbs, spices, and chiles for heat. I often use it on grilled meat dishes or sandwiches or just as a dip for veggies or chips. It is simple and fast to make in 10 minutes.
