Instant Pot Buttered Cabbage
Instant Pot Buttered Cabbage is so tender and buttery, it almost melts in your mouth. This veggie side dish is filling and very flavorful!
Servings 4 servings
- 1 head of cabbage chopped into 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup chicken broth or veggies broth
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 teaspoon whole peppercorns
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Salt & fresh ground pepper
- Lemon wedges
- Chopped butter
- Chopped parsley
Add all ingredients to the Instant Pot except the cabbage, stir to combine.
Add chopped cabbage. Close and lock the lid, ensuring that valve is set to “Sealing”.
Cook on high pressure for 6 minutes.
Once done, press Cancel on Instant Pot and do a quick release by slowly moving valve to “Venting.”
Once all pressure is released, open the lid and stir the cabbage.
Season with salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
Serve with lemon wedges and some butter. Sprinkle parsley on top.
