  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 14 Oreos broken into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips


  • In the bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl if using an electric hand mixer, cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugars for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, beat until well-combined, stopping once to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
  • In a separate, medium bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  • With the mixer on low speed, slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Make sure to stop to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
  • Add broken Oreos and mini chocolate chips and use a spatula to stir them in until incorporated.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare two cookie sheets by covering them with parchment paper.
  • Remove cookie dough from the fridge and drop 1 ½ tablespoon-sized scoops of cookie dough onto the baking sheets, spacing cookies at least 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies just begin to turn golden brown around the edges.
  • Right after you remove them from the oven, press a few additional chocolate chips into all the cookies. They will look nicer.
  • Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
