Best Peach Cobbler
Peach Cobbler has a sweet and moist fruit layer and a layer of biscuit-like batter. If you are obsessing over peaches this summer, then, this recipe is perfect!

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups fresh peach slices or canned peach slices
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Add melted butter to a 9x9-inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup white sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and vanilla extract, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Pour mixture into the buttered pan and do not stir.
Add 1 cup brown sugar, peach slices, lemon zest and lemon juice to a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Pour mixture uniformly over the batter and do not stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, if desired.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve cobbler warm with vanilla ice cream..
