How to Cook Couscous
Couscous is a fluffy and hearty side dish that is so easy to prepare! It is versatile and can be used as an ingredient in stuffing, sauces, or salads!
Servings 6 cups
- 3 cups Water
- 2 cups Couscous
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
Wheat or whole-wheat couscous:
Cook the couscous:
Add water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil either on the stove or in the microwave.
Add the couscous, salt, olive oil, and butter into the boiling water, stir. Cover and let cook for 7 to 10 minutes.
When the granules have absorbed all the liquid, remove from the stove and fluff it up with a fork before serving.
