  • 8 slices bacon cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts washed, bottoms trimmed and cut in half
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese


  • Place a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. Once add the bacon pieces and cook until crispy. Once crispy, transfer to a paper-lined dish.
  • Drain most of the bacon grease, leaving only about half in the pan. Then add the Brussels sprouts and cook stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes.
  • Add in the garlic, paprika, dried parsley, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper, stir, cover the pan, reduce heat to low and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Add back the bacon and stir and cook uncovered for 5 minutes.
  • Top with shredded parmesan cheese and serve.
