Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas about 3 medium bananas
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, and spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick baking spray.
  • Next, in a large bowl mash the bananas using a fork until creamy. Add melted butter, oil and sugar and combine using a hand mixer.
  • Then add egg, vanilla and mix again.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl and whisk. Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture and stir.
  • Next, fold in chocolate chips using a spatula.
  • Add the mixture to the loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
