  • 2 cups long-grain white rice or long-grain brown rice
  • 2 1/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth vegetable broth or water
  • 1 (1 oz) package onion soup mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter


  • Add all the ingredients to the Instant Pot.
  • Close lid and pressure cook at High Pressure for 5 minutes + 10 minutes Natural Release. Turn off the heat. Release the remaining pressure. Open the lid.
  • Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
