Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 slices yellow cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Place the ground beef in the pan and season it with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 6-8 minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon until browned.
  3. Transfer to the slow cooker with the rest of the ingredients. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 6 hours.
  5. Spoon the meat onto the hamburger buns, top with cheese, then serve.
