How to make One Pan Pineapple Pork Chops

This may be the best summer dinner you came across! It is sweet and savory, refreshing and incredibly easy to make.  A one pan dinner, made in just 30 minutes, but it tastes like a meal from a fancy restaurant!

Here's What You Need

To make the best pineapple pork chops you will need: Rub: – 1 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper Other ingredients: – 4 boneless pork chops – 1 tablespoon canola oil – 14 ounce can of unsweetened pineapple tidbits (juice and fruit) – 2 tablespoons maple syrup – 1 tablespoon brown sugar – 2 tablespoons soy sauce – 4 cloves garlic

STEP 1

First, you start by mixing in a small bowl the rub ingredients: garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and ground black pepper. After that, rub the mixture onto the pork chops, on all sides.

STEP 2

Next, place a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil, and add the pork chops. Do NOT over crowd the meat, if needed cook it in batches. Sear the meat until golden on both sides.

STEP 3

In the meantime, add the pineapple pieces including the juice, to a large bowl. Add the maple syrup, brown sugar, and garlic. Stir to combine.

STEP 4

After that, add the pineapple mixture to the pork chops. Distribute it evenly and cook for a few minutes, until the sauce thickens. This will take about 12 minutes! Make sure that the internal temperature of the pork chops before serving is at least 145 degrees F.
