Our Szechuan Chicken is made with tender chicken, crunchy veggies, and spicy peppercorns. And it's done in 30 minutes!

Here's What You Need

For this recipe, you need: -Cubed chicken breasts For the marinade: -Sesame oil -Soy sauce -White pepper -Rice wine vinegar -Cornstarch For the stir fry: -Szechuan peppercorns -Whole and sliced red chilis -Cubed red bell pepper -Cubed yellow bell pepper -Minced garlic -Minced ginger -Chopped green onions -Chopped peanuts -Low-sodium soy sauce

For the sauce: -Mirim -Brown sugar -Chicken broth -Chili garlic sauce -Hoisin sauce -Garlic powder -Sesame oil -Cornstarch -Crushed red pepper For garnish: -Chopped green onion -Sesame seeds -Fresh red chilis

STEP 1

First, mix the marinade ingredients in a large bowl and then add the cubed chicken. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes. 

STEP 2

Then, mix sauce ingredients and set aside. Meanwhile, add oil to skillet on medium heat. When hot, fry chicken until brown and crispy. Remove chicken and all but two tablespoons of oil. 

Step 3

Now, add dried chilis and peppercorns to the pan and fry for 1 minute. Then, add the rest of the chilis, bell peppers, garlic, and ginger and cook for 5 minutes. After, add nuts and green onions. 

Step 4

Place the chicken back in the pan and then pour sauce on top. Toss to coat everything evenly. Cook until sauce thickens and then serve with garnish.
