If you like strawberry shortcake, you are going to love these little Strawberry Shortcakes filled with fresh strawberries and cream. 

Here's What You Need

For this recipe you need: -Strawberries -All-purpose flour -Granulated white sugar -Lemon zest -Heavy cream -Baking powder -Salt For the strawberries: -Sliced strawberries -Lemon zest -Vanilla extract -Granulated sugar For the whipped cream: -Heavy whipping cream -Powdered sugar -Vanilla extract

STEP 1

First, whisk lemon zest, baking powder, flour, salt, and four tablespoons of granulated sugar in a large bowl until combined. 

STEP 2

Next, pour in the cold heavy cream and stir with a rubber spatula until it is just combined. Do not overstir.

STEP 3

Gently fold in the chopped strawberries. Then, use a large cookie scoop to drop scoops of dough onto a parchment-lined sheet pan.

STEP 4

Using the bottom of a glass, press down the dough to make biscuit shapes. Sprinkle the tops with granulated sugar. 

STEP 5

After, bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Set them aside to cool. 

STEP 6

Now, mix sugar, vanilla, strawberries, and lemon zest in a large bowl. Chill for about an hour. Then, beat whipped cream ingredients to soft peaks. 

STEP 7

Last, cut a shortcake in half and add a scoop of whipped cream and strawberries in between. Then, add whipped cream and a strawberry on top to serve.
