Smoked Cabbage and Potatoes

This side dish goes great with corned beef or any other entree you are serving. Or add some ingredients and make it a meal on its own. 

Here's What You Need

For this recipe, you need: -Yukon Gold potatoes -Green cabbage -Sliced red onion -Salted butter -Minced garlic -Vegetable broth -Lemon juice -Liquid smoke -Oregano -Paprika -Black pepper -Salt -Crushed red pepper flakes

STEP 1

First, melt the butter in a Dutch oven on medium high heat. Add the onion and then cook until soft, about five minutes. 

STEP 2

Then, add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds before adding the rest of the ingredients. 

Step 3

Now, cover and reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally as it cooks. 

Step 4

Remove the lid and turn the heat back to medium high. Let it cook for about 14 minutes, until the liquid is gone, stirring often. Garnish and serve.
