Instead of sweet potato casserole, this year serve the family these cheesy and creamy Scalloped Sweet Potatoes. They will love every bite!

Here's What You Need

For this recipe you need: -Sweet potatoes -Freshly grated mozzarella cheese -Freshly grated cheddar cheese -Unsalted butter -All-purpose flour -Minced garlic cloves -Whole milk -Parmesan cheese -Heavy whipping cream -Ground ginger -Nutmeg -Cinnamon -Finely chopped fresh rosemary -Ground black pepper -Sea salt

STEP 1

First, preheat oven to 400 F and slice potatoes into thin rounds. Then, saute butter and garlic in a medium saucepan until fragrant.

STEP 2

Now, Add flour and whisk until mixed. Stir in parmesan, cream, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Heat until boiling.

STEP 3

After, remove from heat and let it cool slightly before adding in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Stir well. until melted.

STEP 4

Next, arrange sweet potato slices in a row in a casserole dish and pour the cheese on top of them. Cover and bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

STEP 5

Lastly, remove the foil and bake for another 8 to 10 minutes. Finally, garnish with fresh rosemary and serve warm.
