Chocolate banana bread is delicious. But add a filling of peanut butter cream and you have an award-winning sweet bread. 

Here's What You Need

For this recipe you need: -Very ripe bananas -Melted unsalted butter -White granulated sugar -Large eggs -Pure vanilla extract -Sour cream or Greek yogurt -Melted chocolate -All-purpose flour -Unsweetened cocoa powder -Chocolate chips -Baking soda -Kosher salt For the peanut butter filling: -Creamy peanut butter -Softened cream cheese -Large egg -Brown sugar -White granulated sugar -Pure vanilla extract

STEP 1

First, preheat oven to 350 F and line a loaf pan with parchment paper. Then beat peanut butter, egg, sugars, cream cheese, and vanilla until smooth. 

STEP 2

Now, mash bananas in a large bowl and add vanilla, eggs, sugar, and melted butter. Whisk until it is smooth. 

STEP 3

Next, add the cooled melted chocolate and sour cream. Mix until it is completely incorporated.

STEP 4

In a different bowl, sift together the baking soda, cocoa powder, and flour until it is mixed well. 

STEP 5

Then, stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until it is smooth and mixed. But do not overmix. After, fold in the chocolate chips.

STEP 6

Add half the batter to the loaf pan, then a layer of peanut butter. Add the rest of the chocolate batter and smooth it out. 

STEP 7

Finally, bake for 60 to 70 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan and then on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Slice and serve warm.
