For this recipe, you need: -Apricots -Slivered almonds -Shredded coconut -All-purpose flour -Granulated white sugar -Unsalted butter -Almond extract -Vanilla extract -Baking powder -Buttermilk -Lemon zest -Large eggs -Salt For the glaze: -Apricots -Granulated white sugar -Vanilla extract -Water

STEP 1

First, mix glaze ingredients in a small pot on medium until it boils. Simmer for 10 minutes and straind to make the glaze. 

STEP 2

Next, beat butter, sugar, both extracts, lemon zest, and salt until creamy. Then, add eggs one at a time, mixing after each one. 

STEP 3

After, add the flour and baking powder a little at a time. Then, add buttermilk and beat until combined before folding in the shredded coconut. 

STEP 4

Now, pour batter into the prepared pan and add apricot halves, pressing very lightly. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. 

STEP 5

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before loosening the springform wall. Then, sprinkle the top with almonds. Last, brush the top with glaze and add more almonds before serving.
