Our Cornflake Crusted French Toast is sweet and crispy on the outside and soft and light on the inside. It is the perfect breakfast, snack, or snack.

Here's What You Need

For this recipe you need: -Texas toast -Crushed cornflakes -Vegetable oil For the egg mixture:  -Milk -Large eggs -White granulated sugar -All-purpose flour -Ground cinnamon -Vanilla extract -Baking powder -Salt For the toppings: -Whipped cream -Syrup -Fresh berries

STEP 1

First, whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl until smooth. Then, place crushed cornflakes in a separate bowl. 

STEP 2

Next, heat one inch of oil in a heavy skillet to 325 degrees F. Then, dip each slice of bread into the batter, letting the excess drip off.

STEP 3

After the excess has dripped off, dip each piece of egged bread into the cornflakes until it is coated. Shake off any loose crumbs.

STEP 4

Now, fry the bread for one minute, until golden brown, on each side. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite toppings.
