All you need for this recipe is: -Corn kernels -Shredded gruyere cheese -Finely diced shallot -Melted butter -Milk -Heavy whipping cream -Large eggs -All-purpose flour -Granulated sugar -Brown sugar -Yellow corn meal -Baking powder -Nutmeg -Onion powder -Garlic powder -Kosher salt

STEP 1

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and heat oil and shallot in a skillet until soft. Then, whisk all the dry ingredients in a large bowl. 

STEP 2

In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and cream. Then, pour it into the dry ingredients and stir before mixing in the melted butter and shallot.

STEP 3

Now, stir in the shredded cheese and corn until combined well. Immediately, pour it into your prepared baking dish. 

STEP 4

Lastly, level the top and bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until it is set. Do not overcook it because you want the middle to be creamy.
