STEP 1

First, heat oil in a large skillet. Then add the turkey, green pepper, onion, salt, and pepper. Cook and break up the meat until no longer pink. 

STEP 2

Next, drain the grease and stir in the remaining ingredients. Turn heat down and simmer for 10 minutes.

STEP 3

After cooking, if it is too watery, add cornstarch slurry and cook for a few more minutes until thickened. 

STEP 4

Finally, serve the sloppy joe mixture on buns topped with cheese slices and extra barbecue sauce.
