Baked Apple Cider Donuts

No need to go to the donut store for fresh donuts. You can make these yummy donuts at home in minutes!

For this recipe you need: -Apple cider -Cake flour -Large egg -Granulated white sugar -Melted unsalted butter -Brown sugar -Milk -Vanilla extract -Cinnamon -Nutmeg -Salt -Baking powder For the topping:  -Melted unsalted butter -Nutmeg -Cinnamon -White granulated sugar

STEP 1

First, bring the apple cider to a boil. After it boils for 1 minute, reduce heat and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. It should reduce to 1/2 cup. 

STEP 2

Next, preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and grease a donut pan. Then, whisk together the cake flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt.

STEP 3

Now, in a different bowl, whisk the vanilla, reduced apple cider, butter, egg, milk, and both sugars until well mixed. 

STEP 4

After that, pour the flour mixture into the bowl of the wet ingredients. Mix until it is just combined. 

STEP 5

Then, pour batter into a baggie and cut off one corner. Fill each hole halfway. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes and let them cool on a wire rack.

STEP 6

Next, mix the nutmeg, cinnamon, and sugar in a wide bowl and brush the donuts with melted butter. 

STEP 7

Last, roll each buttered donut into the cinnamon sugar mixture until it is completely coated. Serve and enjoy!
